Apple iPhone And Adobe Flash

During a Q & A portion of the Apple shareholder meeting, Jobs was quoted that Adobe Flash "performs too slow to be useful".

Tom Krazit commented in his blog, about the meeting, that "Without an option that falls in between, it sounds like Flash is not going to be supported on the iPhone until the performance of the underlying hardware improves." (emphasis is mine).

Now, just wait a darn cotton pickin' minute there boy..., I got an iMac with Intels Core 2 Duo running at 2.16 GHz and when I get into a website running Flash my CPU usage spike up.

It is not the hardware. It is the damnably poorly written software. Adobe never bothered to implement it properly on Mac OS X. Much to the annoyance of Steve Jobs.

Now it is Steve Job's turn to watch Adobe sweat.
