I wonder why Steve Jobs caved in?
It is no secret that Apple is promoting an Open Source alternative to Exchange, CalDAV.
It is no secret, either, that Apple views the business end of the electronics and PC market, where profits are low and innovations are shunned, with jaundiced eye. Preferring the consumer end of the market.
So why did Apple license Microsoft Exchange?
In my opinion, Steve Jobs' corporate buddies nagged him.
"Hey Steve! Me wants iPhone! But IT say no-no cuz no Exchange"
