I did not want to comment on fashion (being such a lousy dresser myself) but...
Carla Bruni is one of the more attractive First Lady in history and, certainly, one of the more attractive woman alive.
But this former fashion model just looks positively frumpy (is that a word?) compared to Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth II. Color does not seem to suit her nor the style. And, from the BBC broadcast I saw, she looked uncomfortable in it, slouching at times. And that belt and her posture in the linked photo makes her look like she has bulging tummy. Nice handbag, though.
The Queen looked whole lot better...
Then again, maybe that was the point.
But couldn't Carla Bruni have picked something else?
