Myanmar's Catastrophe

It boogles my mind on the scale of casualties experienced by Myanmar.

I mean, in this day and age of weather forecasting and satellite imagery Myanmar should have been able to warn it's people, at the minimum, one day before the storm struck.

Or was the military so paranoid it even censors weather forecasts?

Damn the dead, full censor ahead!

Morons.

Heard on the news that the generals were distributing TVs and DVD players as relief goods...

Heard on the news that the generals did not want foreign aid workers so it can relabel foreign relief goods with names of the generals and their minions.

Morons.

What we will probably hear soon is that the generals are selling relief goods.
