Coffee Sweet Spot

A ristretto with coffee ~22.5g seems to be an interesting sweet spot for an americano but a whisker less interesting as a ristretto.

My scale is accurate to 0.5g and I put in enough coffee that the scale goes back and forth between 22g and 22.5g.

And for the past few roasts I have not gotten that burnt popcorn aftertaste.

For the americano, the flavor just fades away at the end. No aftertaste. Interesting.
