Both are doing better than their peers in the current economic storm.
But.
Honda has now hurdled well past the charismatic-founder-retiring-and-leaving-someone-else-in-charge stage.
Apple, on the other hand, fell into the charismatic-founder-retiring-and-leaving-someone-else-in-charge jinx.
It remains to be seen if Apple can find someone to succeed Jobs.
