France's Gendarmerie Nationale rolled out a pilot program on some 5,000 workstations running on Ubuntu and open source software since 2005.
Plans are afoot to convert the entire 90,000 workstations to open source software by 2015.
That is, indeed, quite a tidy savings for a 3-year pilot program that was gradually rolled out.
