Population Shift... as usual

In The World's New Numbers, Martin Walker points out to interesting changes in the ever shifting and changing demographic trends.

Europe is aging, that hasn't change, but it appears it is no longer certain it is heading towards oblivion.

Eastern immigrants to Western European countries are falling into the same pattern of reproduction as the women in their adopted home.

Russian death rates are high, very high.

The United States appears to still be the exception.

China will soon be aging rapidly.

China, as a result of its One Child Policy and sexing by sonogram, will see a dearth of females. This is also true in caste-conscious India.
