US $100 per shot served at Peter Jones Espresso Bar in UK.
Apparently, Caffé Raro is a blend roasted by De Longhi made of Kopi Luwak (the cat dung coffee part) and Jamaica Blue Mountain.
For a lot of people in the Specialty Coffee business this is a load of crap.
Those who actually TASTE coffee have voted with their money that the 2007 coffee from Hacienda La Esmeralda is worth US $130 per pound (US $287 per kilogram).
Coffee made with lots of help from nature, sweat and tears by the grower. Nothing dungy in that coffee.
Caffé Raro is one of those shitty products whose claim to fame is in elevating mediocrity solely on whiz-bang marketing.
