Books To Comfort Me By

I've read, re-read, worn out the books by James Herriot (October 3, 1916 – February 23, 1995) whose title is from the first four lines of is from the poem 'Maker of Heaven and Earth' by Cecil Frances Alexander (1818 - 1895)
All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all.

I have added to that a retrospective book of Erma Bombeck's (February 21, 1927 – April 22, 1996) columns.

Also in the list are the two autobiography of George Burns ( January 20, 1896–March 9, 1996).
