When did killing three people become a massacre? I see this type of headline often with Philippine newspapers, national or local.
By definition massacre means killing a large number of people, often in manner which 'contravenes civilized sensibilites'.
Hey, don't take my word for it look it up with a Dictionary... (you can tell I am expressing sarcasm throught the use of itlaics).
